Clare footballers may have to plan without two key players for the 2020 campaign.

Both Aaron Fitzgerald and Jamie Malone look set to miss the campaign due to injury and travelling respectively.

Eire Og clubman Fitzgerald suffered a knee injury during his side’s SHC clash against Sixmilebridge last week.

The initial prognosis is not good for the dual star as it is understood that he damaged his ACL.

Malone is taking a year out to go travelling and his loss will be a massive blow to the Banner who are looking to build on this year’s progress.
