"It's a bit disrespectful for people to even mention it"

Henry Shefflin has described talk linking him to the Kilkenny senior hurling manager’s position as “disrespectful”.
Last month saw the 11-time All Star leading his native Ballyhale Shamrocks to All-Ireland glory at Croke Park, which has naturally led to speculation of him managing the Cats once Brian Cody vacates the post he’s held since 1998.
"Look, (Brian Cody is) the greatest manager of all time in Kilkenny hurling, I think, it's a bit disrespectful for people to even mention it, even for my liking," Shefflin told Sky Sports.
"People probably know the answer but they like to say it a little bit. That's where I stand on it.
"To be honest, I'm very happy where I am.
"I wanted to go in with Ballyhale to see how it goes and see if I enjoy it and the next question will be, 'do you enjoy it?', and, yes, I do enjoy it. It was a very enjoyable year with a big learning step, so for me that's it."
