Armagh duo in doubt for Mayo clash

Armagh's Andrew Murnin and Niall Grimley with manager Kieran McGeeney

Armagh boss Kieran McGeeney is sweating on the fitness of both Niall Grimley and Andy Murnin for Saturday’s All-Ireland SFC Round 3 qualifier against Mayo.

Grimley suffered an elbow injury following a collision with fellow midfielder Kieran Hughes in the late stages of his side’s victory over Monaghan in Clones last weekend and, according to a report in today's Irish News, is a doubt for the trip to Castlebar in two days' time.

Attacker Murnin also had to be withdrawn early on in the second-half with a suspected hamstring problem.

The Orchard men are heading for MacHale Park as 11/4 outsiders to bring the curtain down on James Horan’s men’s season and advance into Monday’s Round 4 draw.
