Kieran Kingston showed a touch of class when remembering the late Tony Keady in his press conference after yesterday's All-Ireland SHC semi-final.
The Cork manager was crestfallen after seeing his side lose to Waterford, but he didn't let the opportunity pass without conveying his sympathy to the Keady family. The Galway great was laid to rest in Oranmore yesterday after he passed away during the week at the age of just 53.
"I think it would be remiss of me, for the day that's in it, not to mention Margaret Keady and her family," a magnanimous Kingston said.
"None of us can be there from Cork hurling because of the game, but that puts sport in perspective.
"And on behalf of Cork hurling, the management team and players, we send sincere condolences to Margaret and the Keady family."
