There were wins for Tipperary, Dublin, Offaly and Westmeath in their respective provincial hurling championship encounters at the weekend.

1. Darren Gleeson (Tipperary) Put in another solid display between the posts for the Premier men, keeping a clean sheet in Thurles, as they advanced into the last four of the Munster SHC.

2. Paddy Rigney (Offaly) Gave a fantastic contribution over the 70 minutes against Tullamore, where he kept his man scoreless and Offaly advanced to the Leinster SHC quarter-finals.

3. James Barry (Tipperary) One of the top performers in Tipp's comfortable win over Cork on Sunday, keeping Rebels' full-forward Seamus Harnedy to just 0-1 over 70 minutes.

4. Jason Diggins (Kerry) Put forth a whole-hearted display as Kerry went down fighting against Offaly in Tullamore, where he landed the opening score for the visitors.

5. Liam Rushe (Dublin) Commanded his centre-back station superbly as the Dubs ran riot against Wexford at Croke Park on Saturday night.

6. Ronan Maher (Tipperary) The Thurles Sarsfields clubman was immense again in the number 6 jersey for Tipp against Cork and will undoubtedly be key if the Premier County are to defend their provincial title this summer.

7. Cormac Murphy (Cork) One of the better performers for Kieran Kingston's team on Sunday, keeping his counterpart for the afternoon scoreless while landing a long range effort of his own.

8. Brendan Maher (Tipperary) The Tipp captain led by example with an early point on Sunday and would go to cover plenty of ground at Semple Stadium as the home side romped to a nine-point win over Cork.

9. Darragh O'Connell (Dublin) The former Kerry star tucked away the capital men's second goal superbly against Wexford on Saturday night and will be looked to again when they meet Kilkenny in the semi-finals.

10. Niall O'Brien (Westmeath) O'Brien was outstanding in Westmeath's comeback victory over Carlow on Sunday, ensuring that the Lake men head into the quarter-finals of the Leinster SHC with a 100 per cent record.

11. Shane Dooley (Offaly) The Tullamore dual star landed a match-winning 1-10 tally in Offaly's hard earned win over Kerry at O'Connor Park, where they ensured a provincial quarter-final date with Laois.

12. David Treacy (Dublin) The Cuala marksman top-scored with 0-8 in Dublin's 13-point demolishment of Wexford at Croke Park on Saturday.

13. John O'Dwyer (Tipperary) Scored 0-7 in the opening round of Tipperary's Munster SHC title defence against Cork on Sunday and the early signs indicate that 'Bubbles' could be about to have a big summer for the Premier men.

14. Seamus Callanan (Tipperary) The Drom & Inch man made a triumphant return on home turf on Sunday, firing over 0-8 in Tipp's nine-point Munster SHC quarter-final win over the Rebels.

15. Joe Bergin (Offaly) His 2-2 contribution from corner-forward proved vital as Offaly edged out Kerry on Sunday to advance into the Leinster SHC quarter-final.
