Fr O'Neill's (Cork) and Ballysaggart (Waterford) are both through to Sunday's Munster club IHC semi-finals following their respective victories over Blackrock (Limerick) and Causeway (Kerry).
Extra-time was required at Kilfinane where Fr O'Neill's defeated the hosts after a dramatic encounter which finished 2-19 to 1-20 after 80 minutes in difficult conditions yesterday.
Gavin O’Loughlin's 64th minute penalty for Blackrock left the sides deadlocked (2-12 to 1-15) at full-time.
But Fr O'Neill's recovered in extra-time and scores from Declan Dalton and Tomas Millerick helped them eke out victory.
Their reward is a home clash with Clare champions Broadford.
Also yesterday, Ballysaggart overcame county senior champions Causeway at Fraher Field in Dungarvan, 2-14 to 0-15.
Backboned by the Bennett brothers, Stephen, Shane and Kieran, Ballysaggart will now face Sean Treacys of Tipperary at the same venue this weekend.
