Brian Corcoran says Cork’s hurlers must adapt a winning mindset if they’re to reclaim the Liam MacCarthy Cup.

The Leesiders’ 2019 season came to a shuddering halt at Croke Park on Sunday when they were well beaten by Kilkenny and former star player Corcoran reckons a change in mentality is imperative:

“I think it’s important to get back to the mindset of believing you can win, because if you don’t believe you can win, the chances are you are not going to win and Kilkenny have always had that,” he told The Irish Sun.

“Their mindset — and the Brian Cody mindset — is win, win, win. You have to believe you can do it and at times on Sunday when Kilkenny pulled ahead, it looked like Cork had lost momentum and you were relying on some of the old heads to try to pull them out.”
