The championship is really gathering pace and three more massive matches took place this afternoon.

At Salthill, there was a familiar Connacht SFC final pairing as holders Galway and Roscommon squared up to one another again, bidding for the Nestor Cup and the first confirmed place in this year's Super 8s.

Meanwhile, the final standings in the round-robin stage of the Munster SHC were confirmed when in-form Tipperary entertained All-Ireland champions Limerick and Clare played host to holders Cork. One of those four would exit the championship today. Who would the weekend's second big-name casualty be?
