Meyler hopeful over "leaders" Cooper and Cadogan

Cork hurling boss John Meyler says he hopes to have both Bill Cooper and Alan Cadogan available to him for Sunday’s crunch Munster SHC clash against Limerick.

Cooper was withdrawn late before last weekend’s first round loss to Tipperary while Cadogan has been suffering with a quad muscle strain.

However, both players trained this week and Meyler is optimistic ahead of their visit to the home of the All-Ireland champions.

"Both of them trained (on Tuesday) so we're hopeful they will be back," he told RTE Sport.

"Bill had a back spasm just before the game. He was a massive loss to us in terms of leadership on the field.

"Hopefully we'll have Alan back. He was going really well where he played the last couple of years.

"It's important to have the two of those back, they're leaders on the team."
