Cork hurling captain Seamus Harnedy will learn tonight whether or not he’ll be available for his county’s Munster SHC opener against Tipperary on May 12th.

The St Ita’s forward received a straight red card during the Rebels’ victory over Tipperary last month which is set to be contested at tonight’s Central Hearings Committee meeting in Croke Park.

Following the win against Tipp, Harnedy was deemed free to play in his county’s dead-rubber relegation play-off against Kilkenny but did not and Cork will make their case that the ban for next month’s clash should not stand.
