St Brigid's lose Healy, but gain Phelan

The blow of losing Noelle Healy to Mourneabbey has been softened somewhat for St Brigid's by the news that Roisin Phelan is joining them from Aghada.

The42 is reporting that the Cork ladies football full back has transferred to the Blanchardstown club, less than two months after 2017 Footballer of the Year Healy headed in the opposite direction for Mourneabbey, who are the reigning All-Ireland club champions. It's understood that Phelan, who is a dentist by profession, is relocating to the capital for work reasons.

The 24-year-old has won five All-Ireland senior medals since making her Cork senior debut in 2012,
