Former Cork star Noel O’Leary helped guide his younger team-mates to victory in the county IFC final at the weekend.

The 36-year-old lined out at centre back as Cill na Martra put a number of disappointing campaigns behind them to claim their first IFC title with a commanding 2-17 to 1-10 win over Aghabullogue.

An All-Ireland winner with Cork in 2010, O’Leary became famous for his on-field battles with Kerry’s Paul Galvin.

Since retiring in 2013, O’Leary has continued to line out with his club but they have lost three county semi-finals since then until finally getting over the line last weekend.
