Second-half goals from Seamus Harnedy, Shane Hegarty and Paudie O’Sullivan were crucial as Imokilly saw off the challenge of UCC in their Cork SHC semi-final at Pairc Ui Chaoimh today.

It finished 3-21 to 1-15 in the holders’ favour.

Shane Conway had given the students a dream start with a goal in the second-minute but the divisional side fought back to take a minimum margin lead into the break.

County captain Harnedy netted their first goal six minutes after the break and Hegarty and O’Sullivan raised green flags in the 44th and 53rd minutes respectively.

Imokilly will face Midleton in the final after they scored a 2-16 to 3-11 success over Blackrock in today's second semi-final.

The final is pencilled in for Sunday, October 14.
