Kerry manager Eamonn Fitzmaurice will instruct his defenders to be disciplined in the tackle going into Saturday's Munster SFC final against Cork.

The concession of scoreable frees could prove costly against the Rebels at the Pairc Ui Chaoimh, according to the Kingdom boss.

"It (discipline) is something you are always working on," he remarked to the Irish Daily Star.

"It is easy when you are looking down on it, but when you are one-on-one with some of the best forwards in the country and they are going at you, it can be hard to stop them legally.

"There's obviously a fine line there.

"It can be tough when you are defending the Luke Connolly's of the world in a one-on-one. The less frees you give away, the better."
