Cork football star Sean Powter could make his return to action this weekend.

Powter has been side-lined by injury since he pulled his hamstring during the Rebels' opening round Division 2 defeat to Tipperary on January 27th.

The Irish Examiner reports today however that Douglas man could be involved in his club's county senior football championship opener against Bishopstown this coming Saturday.

After ensuring their survival in Division 2, Cork await the winners of Tipperary and Waterford in the Munster SFC semi-finals on June 3rd.
