After a thrilling All-Ireland SHC semi-final in Croke Park yesterday, we select our team of the week...

1. Eoin Murphy (Kilkenny)

Hit a couple of wides from long-range frees but finished the contest with a clean sheet.

2. Paul Murphy (Kilkenny)

The All-Star corner-back was off target with a late effort that would have snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.

3. Barry Coughlan (Waterford)

Enjoyed a ding-dong tussle with TJ Reid in the first-half and will have to do it all over again this Saturday.

4. Noel Connors (Waterford)

The tenacious corner-back can be satisfied with his performance after seeing Jonjo Farrell called ashore in the 46th minute.

5. Padraig Walsh (Kilkenny)

One of the Cats' better players on a day when serious questions were asked of the Liam MacCarthy Cup holders.

6. Tadhg de Burca (Waterford)

Mopped up plenty of loose ball and proved to be the rock on which many a Kilkenny attack perished.

7. Cillian Buckley (Kilkenny)

Buckley & Co will seek a major improvement on their overall performance when they take to the Semple Stadium field for the replay.

8. Kevin Moran (Waterford)

Led by their inspirational captain, the Deise well and truly got the disappointment of their Munster final malfunction out of their system.

9. Jamie Barron (Waterford)

Narrowly came out on top in his personal duel with Conor Fogarty and Deise supporters will be hoping for more of the same in Thurles.

10. Michael Walsh (Waterford)

As per usual 'Brick' wasn't found wanting when it came to putting his shoulder to the Waterford wheel and they came agonisingly close to a famous victory.

11. Austin Gleeson (Waterford)

Not for the the first time this year, the Mount Sion star produced a colossal display that belied his tender years and he sent over five superb points.

12. Pauric Mahony (Waterford)

Missed last year's semi-final due to injury but showed Waterford fans what they were missing with a top drawer display that yielded 14 points.

13. Walter Walsh (Kilkenny)

With normal time almost up, the number 10 popped up to score the game's only goal and what a crucial score it was.

14. Richie Hogan (Kilkenny)

The Danesfort ace caused plenty of problems for the Waterford defence throughout the thrilling contest and slotted over four points in the first-half.

15. Jake Dillon (Waterford)

Full-forward Dillon raised two white flags for Derek McGrath's charges during the course of an enterprising display.
