Cusack Park in Ennis is expected to reopen next weekend, despite works having commenced on a €2.3 million revamp.

It was expected that the venue would be out of commission for the foreseeable future after the works commenced last weekend with the demolition of the main stand.

However, next weekend's Clare SHC third round games - Crusheen v Eire Og, O'Callaghan's Mills v Cratloe, Newmarket v Tulla and Kilmaley v Inagh-Kilnamona - have been provisionally fixed for Cusack Park, with spectators set to be accommodated in the other stand and in the terraces behind both goals.

A final decision will be made when the Clare Fixtures Committee meets on Monday night.
