Clare star Colm Galvin added another medal to his impressive collection when he helped Tipperary to a 2-11 to 1-12 victory over Fr Tom Burke's in Boston's Sheehan Cup final last weekend.

The 22-year-old All-Ireland senior and U21 medallist scored the first penalty taken under the new one-versus-one rule at the Irish Cultural Centre to help Tipp to a 1-5 to 0-6 half-time and also netted in the second half to seal their win.

The Clonlara man arrived in Boston at the end of April and was a big loss to Clare as they crashed out of the Munster SHC at the hands of Limerick last month. He is due to Ireland ahead of returning to his teaching studies Mary Immaculate College in September, meaning the Banner would have to reach the latter stages of the championship for him to feature for them again this year.
