Clare manager Donal Moloney admits a lack of experience cost them in their Munster IHC defeat to Limerick.
The Shannonsiders had a team packed with ex-senior county stars against a youthful Clare side and it was experience that prevailed in the end.
"We always knew we were going to be trading a lot in experience and it proved to be the case," Moloney told the Clare Champion.
"There was also a bit of naivety on the part of some players but, overall, a good few of our players really played well. They were giving three of four years' experience to the guys they were playing against."
