Armagh and Fermanagh are the early pacesetters in the third division after victories on the road in Wexford and Sligo respectively.

The Orchard County followed up on their opening-round win over Tipperary with a routine 2-13 to 1-8 defeat of winless Wexford in Wexford Park, where Ethan Rafferty and Ciaran O'Hanlon netted in either half.

The Ernemen, meanwhile, continued their impressive early-season form with a superb 0-14 to 1-12 victory over the Yeats County at Markievicz Park. Sean Quigley notched seven points for Pete McGrath's charges, while Barry Mulrone, Ryan Jones and Conall Jones each bagged a brace.

Elsewhere, Tipperary eased to a facile 1-14 to 1-2 victory over Munster rivals Limerick at Semple Stadium, having led by eight points to no score at the interval, and Louth also got their campaign up and running as they stepped on the turbo in the second half to claim a 1-16 to 0-13 victory over Clare in Drogheda.

The Banner County led by 0-13 to 1-7 eight minutes into the second half but the Wee County hit nine unanswered points, including four from Ryan Burns.
