Clare legend Frank Lohan wants the Collins brothers, Podge and Sean, reinstated to the Banner County's hurling panel.

The Cratloe siblings are set to concentrate solely on football this year after hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald decided against accommodating dual players in his squad. However, 1995 and '97 All-Ireland winning corner back Lohan believes it's not too late to work out an arrangement whereby the Collins and fellow dual stars Cathal McInerney and Liam Markham can play both codes.

"You'd like to see them still involved," the Hurling 2020 Committee member is quoted in the Irish Daily Star.

"Podge is an outstanding player. Personally, it must be disappointing that he's not involved in the hurling, but maybe something can be worked out, you'd love to see something worked out.

"I don't know, but they will be losses, they all bring a lot to the team. Cathal McInerney had a great club campaign as well."
