Former Dublin and Clare hurling manager Anthony Daly has been appointed as Director of Limerick's Underage Hurling Academy.

The two time All-Ireland winning Banner captain will replace Jerry Wallace, who departed the role just last Wednesday night.

The Limerick Leader reports that Daly's appointment was confirmed today and he will assume overall responsibilty for Limerick inter-county hurling teams from U-14 to minor level.

He is also to act as coach to the 2015 Limerick minor hurlers under manager Leo O'Connor and selectors John Mulqueen, Pat Donnelly and Brian Foley.
