Kilmurry-Ibrickane captain Evan Talty was delighted to lift the Cusack Cup last weekend.

The side retained the Cusack Cup following a 0-12 to 0-09 win over Eire Og in the final and Talty admitted to the Clare Champion that they targeted this competition from the start of the year.

"It's something to target every year," said Talty. O'Gorman Cup or Cusack Cup, we look to win everything, with the championship being the main one.

"Unfortunately, this year or last year, the championship wasn't to be. It's very hard to go back and try to pick it up again but we went back the week after getting beaten in the championship. That's great credit to the boys."
