Fitness concerns for Crusheen

Crusheen have a number of injury concerns ahead of Sunday's county SHC final against Cratloe.

Despite, being boosted by the Clare CCCC's decision to overturn Pat Vaughan's red card, freeing the county star to play in the final, Crusheen still have a number of injury concerns to deal with ahead of the weekend.

Jamie Fitzgibbon, Alan Brigdale and Joe Meaney are all undergoing intensive treatment in a bid to prove their fitness.

Crusheen manager John Carmody told the Clare Champion that the players concerned are being given every opportunity to play some part in the game.

"Tina Meaney is working round the clock with them in the hope that we will get something from each of the three. We have used 21 players in this campaign," said Carmody.

Crusheen go into the match as underdogs against a Cratloe side that are on the cusp of winning a senior hurling/football double.
