Clare star Tony Kelly is adamant that they need to 'push on' at senior level.

The Banner have now won three All-Ireland under-21 hurling titles in a row, but Kelly feels that the now have to translate that success into the senior level.

Last year, Clare lifted the All-Ireland senior title, but they could not build on that this year as Wexford ended their campaign at the qualifier stage.

It was left to the under-21s to pick up the silverware and Kelly stressed to the Clare Champion that it was important to push on from here.

"There is no point winning at underage, if you are not going to push on to senior," states Kelly. Its lovely winning minors and U-21s but you need to progress on to senior level and win there. It's something we want to do in Clare and will be striving to do in the next few years."
