SFC gets underway

July 25, 2014

Cratloe chairman Jack Chaplin hands over the Jack Daly cup to captain Martin Martin Murphy.
Following Clare's heart-breaking exit from the All-Ireland race at the hands of Kildare last Saturday, it's all systems go in the local SFC this weekend.

The race for the Jack Daly Cup gets underway tomorrow with six games down for decision. There are double-headers taking place in Doonbeg and Cusack Park. In the afternoon, Doonbeg hosts Miltown v O'Curry's and Kilmurry-Ibrickane v Kilkee. The attention will then switch to Cusack Park where Clondegad take on St. Breckan's and champions Cratloe meet Eire Og in a repeat of last year's semi-final.

Tomorrow's other games see Shannon Gaels and St. Joseph's Doora-Barefield go head-to-head in Lissycasey, and Doonbeg and Ennistymon face off in Miltown.

The action continues on Sunday when Kilrush and Cooraclare do battle in Labasheeda and Lissycasey and Liscannor cross paths in Cooraclare.
