Clare football manager Colm Collins isn't happy with Donal Og Cusack after he suggested that his son Podge shouldn't play football for his county.

The retired Cork hurling goalkeeper made his comments on RTE's Sunday Game last Sunday night when reviewing the dramatic drawn All-Ireland hurling qualifier between Clare and Wexford. Podge Collins missed yesterday's replay after receiving a straight red card in the original fixture, but the dual star will be available for the Clare footballers' All-Ireland qualifier against Carlow in Dr Cullen Park this afternoon.

"I don't want to say a whole pile about it. I'm just extremely disappointed in Donal Og Cusack, Extremely disappointed," the football boss said in the Clare Champion.

"When you speak about something, the least you could expect from the commentator is that he makes himself au fait with what he's talking about. He didn't."
