We are inviting your club to participate in this year's All-Ireland Minor Hurling Sevens National Competition organised by St. Brendan's Hurling Club, Loughrea GAA which takes place on Saturday 21st June, 2014.

This official National tournament is a unique event for club players at Minor level and should serve up a feast of exciting hurling with top players from around Ireland competing.

Teams will play off on a league basis ensuring at least three games for every team.

The entry fee is €250. This includes a full hot meal for 12 people (10 players plus 2 mentors).

The competition is limited to 16 teams. Please be advised that competition places are filled on a "first come first served" basis. If your club wishes to take part in the Sevens Competition, I would appreciate if you could return the enclosed contact & entry form along with the entry fee (€250) to me before Friday 30th May 2014 at the following address: - Leo Keary, Secretary, St. Brendans Hurling Club, Caher, Loughrea, Co. Galway.

Please advise your county board in writing of your participation in the competition. Forward the enclosed letter confirming county board approval of participation by email or post as soon as possible and in any event one week prior to the event. Please be advised that the entry fee is non-refundable.

All-Ireland Minor Seven-a-Side Hurling Tournament

Official Rules
1. Participating teams must give official list of 10 players before their first game in the tournament.
2. Teams must wear jerseys numbered 1 to 10 and must be as per official list.
3. All games up to and including Semi Final are 20 minutes in length (i.e 10 minutes per half)
4. Final is 24 minutes in length (12 minutes per half)
5. In the event of a draw at full time in games up to Final - 3 minutes extra time only will be played. Teams play as they are, no change around occurs. (Note for Final: 3 minutes per half).
6. In the event of a draw after extra time- sudden death applies.
7. Scores do not count from a puckout.
8. Substitutes come on and off from the dug-out area only through the stewards and must hand a
baton to the player they are replacing.
9. All players must be eligible minors.
10. Sin Bin Rule A 2 minute sin-bin rule will apply for a professional foul of pulling a player down going through on goal and the rule is at the discretion of the referee
