Sixmilebridge - Clare U21 'A' Hurling Champions 2014.
There was plenty of action on the pitch last weekend with the highlight arriving on Sunday afternoon when our U21 hurlers retained their championship with a six point win over Ballyea.

Sunday, 13th April
The U21 team retained their title with this six point win over Ballyea last Sunday to make it four titles in six years for the club at this grade. In what was a close game between two great rivals a strong finish from the 'Bridge which yielded 1-5 without reply paved the way for this success. The honours were even at the break at 0-7 each. The 'Bridge goal scorer was Alan Mulready with team captain Darragh Fitzgerald presented with the cup after the game by Clare County Board vice chairman Joe Cooney.

Saturday, 12th April
On Saturday evening the senior hurlers, without a number of regulars, picked up their first victory of the Clare Cup. At the end of the first half goals from Niall Gilligan and Jonathan Hayes had the victors 2-11 to 2-10 up and a Christy Griffin goal midway through the second half sealed the win.

Sunday, 13th April
The club intermediates picked up their first win in the senior league with this four point victory over Ruan Sunday morning. The victors led by 0-8 to 1-4 at the break but put in a good second half display with the goal coming from Cathal O'Connor.

The Junior A team will play Ballyea at 7 pm this evening in round two. This game will take place in O'Garney Park.
