Minor footballers enter last-chance saloon

April 26, 2013
Clare will be hoping to revive their Munster MFC hopes when they face Limerick in Sunday's playoff at Cusack Park (throw-in 5pm).

It's a case of do-or-die for Michael Neylon's men who suffered a 0-8 to 1-10 defeat to Tipperary last weekend. Limerick are also battling to stay in the championship after their surprise 3-8 to 3-9 loss to Waterford. The winners will play the losers of the Kerry v Cork replay on Friday week for a place in the Munster semi-final.

Eoin Hanrahan, Fergal Pyne, Jack Browne and Barry Keating were among those to show up well against Tipp, and it goes without saying that they will need greater support if the Banner are to save their championship bacon.
