Clare hurling legend Niall Gilligan has admitted that he is considering his intercounty future. In the wake of former team-mate Frank Lohan's announcement that he has brought his intercounty career to a close, Clare hurling fans will be hoping that Gilligan doesn't follow suit. However the omens don't look good for the Banner County as Gilligan has conceded that he is thinking about following Lohan into retirement. Gilligan reckons the commitment needed to keep on board the Clare senior team is something that he may not be able to deliver in 2009.
