'No regrets, no tears to cry' for legend Lohan

Clare defender Frank Lohan
All-Ireland SHC-winning medallist Frank Lohan says he has no regrets about deciding to call time on his intercounty career with Clare. "I'm hanging up the hurley," Lohan explained. "I'm glad I came back for 2008 because the previous year had gone so bad. "It's just a question of doing as much as you can do, and that's where I'm at. Clare have a decent crop of young players playing senior now and coming through from the U21s, so they're in decent shape. "We recovered ground this year. We were disappointed with the way we played against Tipperary in the Munster final and we felt we should have beaten Cork but at least our stock is higher than it was." Lohan, the last active player from Clare's breakthrough in 1995 when they won the All-Ireland SHC title, says he has no regrets about his career. "I've no regrets, no. It might have been good to win a little bit more, but you couldn't really consider that a regret."
