John Conlon will captain Clare’s senior hurlers for the 2020 campaign.

The Clonlara forward has been handed the skipper’s role by new manager Brian Lohan ahead of Sunday’s Allianz League opener against Carlow in Ennis.

Conlon was part of his county’s All-Ireland winning squad in 2013 and earned an All Star award the season before last.

It has also been confirmed that full-back David McInerney (Tulla) will serve as vice-captain of the team for the forthcoming season.
