After 90 minutes of breath-taking hurling last weekend, Clare and Galway do it all again on Sunday to see which one of them will join Limerick in the 2018 All-Ireland senior hurling championship final. Here's our replay preview:

Sunday, August 5th

All-Ireland SHC semi-final replay

Galway v Clare, Semple Stadium, 2pm - RTE2/Sky

These two served up a genuine classic at headquarters last weekend and neutrals will be keeping their fingers crossed for more of the same when they do battle again in Thurles.

Last Saturday's battle wasn't without its casualties as Galway's Joe Canning suffered a jarred knee in extra time, but the Portumna superstar is expected to be fit for Sunday's replay.

The same cannot yet be said for Tribe centre-back Gearoid McInerney, who remains a doubt after suffering a suspected torn calf injury.

Time will tell on those two but the All-Ireland champions remain the bookies' favourites at 4/7 nonetheless and you can certainly see the merits for it.

Some may feel that Clare's best chance to topple their neighbours eluded them after putting together a remarkable nine-point turnaround off the back of Peter Duggan's supreme scoring display.

That said it would be a surprise if Galway mounted up such a sizeable lead again this time round and whichever team learned more from last weekend could be on the way towards a final date against Limerick on August 19th.

The last tickets for this one were snapped up on Wednesday and it's no surprise really, considering what they treated us to last time out.

Verdict: Galway
