Cork wing back Christopher Joyce says Clare will "definitely be favourites" to win this year's Munster senior hurling final.

The Rebels and the Banner County will contest the July 1st provincial showcase after finishing first and second respectively in the all-new round-robin phase of the competition. It's a repeat of last year's decider and Joyce believes the holders will go in as underdogs:

"They will fancy their chances against us the next day, to put last year right. We need to try and put a 70-minute performance in which we haven't done yet," the Na Piarsaigh clubman states in The Irish Times.

"We have done enough to get to a Munster final but we are still searching for that full 70-minute performance, if we can do it in a Munster final we will go a long way. Clare are a very good team, have been underachieving in the last number of years. They have won three games in a row. They will definitely be favourites."
