Munster Council officials have decided to bring forward the dates of the Munster SHL and McGrath Cup finals.
With Clare and Limerick already assured of their place in the Munster SHL final and Cork and Clare confirmed as the final pairing for the McGrath Cup decider, the round-robin games involving the same teams have been avoided by bringing the finals forward by a week.
Both finals will now be played next weekend, meaning the teams involved will have an extra week to prepare for the start of the Allianz League on the weekend of January 27/28.
Meanwhile, Leinster Council has confirmed that the Offaly v Kilkenny Walsh Cup semi-final will throw-in next Saturday in Bord na Mona O'Connor Park at 2pm.
