Clubs busy on managerial circuit

November 24, 2017

Clare clubs have been busy in recent weeks as the managerial merry go round is in full swing.

Clubs have been actively seeking managers for the coming year with some already getting their business done early.

A member of the Sixmilebridge management team, Brian Culbert is reported to be linking up with the Kerry senior hurlers for 2018, according to the Clare Champion.

Clare's All-Ireland winning midfielder in 1995, Fergal Hegarty has taken charge of his native club Inagh-Kilnamona for the coming year. Hegarty coached Ballyea to a first Clare and Munster club title in 2016.

Ballyea are being heavily linked to Clarecastle's Fergie O'Loughlin, which would be a return to the club where the former Clare player managed in the mid-00s.

Michael Murphy is believed to be on the cusp of taking over his native club Tulla in the coming weeks. Murphy captained the sides to the county title in 2007.
