Tomsmith Cavan here
i just wonder can the senior football championship in Cavan 2016 survive as a Gold plated competition as it does in other Counties in view of recent developments.
We were beaten in the Ulster championship after a drawn game, We had David Givney substituted just after the start.
We had the resignation of Terence Hyland after a wonderful career
We had a crowd of know-all calling for his scalp and mooting a replacement manager s while he was still in situ.
I just wonder can the Cavan senior football championship survive all of this. Mrs T and myself were Speaking to a Cavan Gaels player to-day and he said that the Gaels were not pushed about the Championship. The great Mrs T was amazed at this reaction comming from one of Cavans greatest Clubs
Just shows what a few short weeks will do for a County that was on a roll a Month ago

Over the years Ihave posted witout fear favour or malice andin the past Ihave never responded to trolls on the Hoganstand site because have been told ( Sean nil cursa ar bit communications deanta agam)_to do so lowers ones level . I will say that my original post still stands good

Sean a Cara what I was saying to you was that you used terms towards me in relation to taking medication that it was likely to cloud my judgement. This you are entitled to do. But I feel your generallity in inferring that the taking of medication may cause such a condition is wrong. As I pointed out many people are taking medication I think about 60% of the population over 50 years take some type of prescription drugs which gives most people a better quality of life. You may have chosen the easier path in life by the nature of your job and not require medication. I feel that I have to seek a retraction from you when you stated that medication may cloud ones judgement. Be big enough an apologize when you know you spoke out of place about poor creatures taking medication often life enhancing medication which servers the users well . While the detroying of the holders was a surprize nothing takes from the teams left in the competition, but you need the big teams to keep it interesting

They have no intention of playing in the relegation play-off that they and other clubs were more than happy to endorse when they thought they'd be safe.
And let's not forget, they give Ulster a good rattle every time they represent us.
