The real business starts now, teams are falling into their stride and the wheat begins to separate from the chaff, Down are never easy to beat and we won't get it as easy as we did in Portlaoise. But we are certainly capable of beating them.

Yes this game and the Galway game I would be nervous about ,I think it will all come down to long range scoring and who gets goals ,but I hope Cavan will take all the points but Down is the team that could topple us ,but this Cavan team doesn't like to loose and they will fight for every second of the 70 mmins ,that's what I admire about this current set up .

This is a very important game, could make or break us, Down will want to right the wrongs of their Mc Kenna cup loss to us, home advantage will help us , I fancy us to push on now and win this by 3-4 points. Would set us up well

Its going to be a tight group, only Laois for me are certain to go down. Kildare will come back. A loss against Down would push us down into the dog fight again so I think this is a critical game to win. Beating Down will put daylight between us and a couple of teams. I see nothing in Down to be overly worried about.

Down have been distinctly average this past while, and are showing no signs of making any sort of breakthrough, unlike ourselves who are on a steady, steady rise. Home advantage is vital and I think we'll win by 3.

I would like to see us improve our record in home games which hasnt been great in the last few years especially the big ones. We need a 'fortress Breifne' mentality when other teams come to visit. Consistently good turn out from supporters and a never say die attitude from the boys on the pitch could make Breifne Park an intimidating place for other counties to visit. Pride in that blue jersey above all else is needed. Best of luck to Terry and the boys on Saturday night, Id say theres going to be a good attendance for this one

Would expect a big crowd in Breffni. The Cavan crowd in Portlaoise was impressive. Poor performance, should have taken Ronan off when he was booked.

Talk about miserable. And I don't just mean the weather. Ill discipline and silly decision making cost us tonight. We're facing a very tough battle to stay in this division. Cavan lack a few things. A killer instinct. When we drew level we folded.

We don't have strength in depth. When we needed a game changer from the bench we were found wanting.

We are a functional team with a lot of players in or around the same level. I still think its a shame Keating decided to pack it in this year, could have done with him tonight, we still have no real ball winner in that ff line although McDermott had a decent game I thought.

Overall we were too wasteful. Flanagan's second yellow was a silly tackle considering he was already booked. The Down goal was scored by an unmarked man. It's the little things.
