What's the thoughts on Saturday night in Portlaoise?
We have a great opportunity to get two points. I was surprised Laois lost to Westmeath and they have their midfielder Brendan Quigley suspended as well. Any thoughts?

Probably a good time to play Laois. I think Brendan Quigley is injured. Bad result for them against Westmeath. Think there might be a bit of descent in the camp. perhaps another draw for us might not be a bad result.

We should beat Laois as they are no great shakes at the moment and Quigley will be a huge loss to them... They will be sore after the Westmeath game which they seemed to kick away... They will be in big danger of the drop if they loose this game so will be all out to get the points...still a very winnable game for Cavan imo.....

Folks, all away games in Division 2 are difficult. Expect Laois to be up for the battle on Saturday. It's a game we can win nothing more nothing less.

You are spot on Blueman.... It ended Cavan 4-11 Laois 2-17 with Peter Reilly rescueing a point with a last minute penalty....!!!!

So S Goldrick, the person that told us on previous posts that Cavan Football has been bad over last decade and not to be talking about the past has now referred back to a game played in 2003.

But it certainly reads to excellent reading, scored a goal in nearly every game, we attacked, we were entertaining to watch, and secured a point and held our own against one of the best teams in the Country at the time under the great Micko.....

Sadly, the attacking football is now gone, we struggle to average points never mind goals, and the only entertainment is the National Anthem before the match, the cup of tea and a bar at half time, and the numerous handling errors and poor passes in almost every match!

And someone recently said on this forum that most teams fear playing us!!!

I think Argue is been minded for the U-21s which is a load of bull imo as the GAA will surley cut this compitition from their overloaded calander before too long... There are too many players involved with both pannells for it to be worthwhile...it was ok in the 70/80s when the average age of senior county playets was prob mid-20 s or older...! What do others think.....?

First time on this forum. I swore I never would. I'm horrified with some of the content on this site. The abuse some players get only in Cavan is despicable. Sean 66 you claim to be an expert. Who was Cavan top scorer in the championship when Terry took over the cavan reigns. Think you'll find that Jack s name was up there. He was one of our better players against Down and Monaghan. Came off against fermanagh injured and came on against Tyrone with the same injury he up picked up against Fermanagh. Give him a break. Also Argue is still u 21 the rules are the there.He'll be back after u21 duty. James mc if fit to play and will be back at weekend . Don't know why he didn't come on last Sunday when a few of our backs were struggling especially in the half back line . He also delivers good quick ball to the forwards . Think management need to get better along line . They need to make changes quicker .

you say that argue is being minded for the under 21's which in your opinion is a load of bull, also that there are too many players involved in both panels.
so which is it?

Expert 2015.... I dont recall Jack scoreing a whole lot on the senior team ..I may be wrong.. I wonder who was it against... On another note any Manager who uses an injured player as you claim has serious questions to answer...look what happened to Mackey....?
