Big David Wright from Castlerahan has been called in as far as I know, could be a key man for the coming season.

Hopefully a commited panel for the year ahead. Can't afford another championship without key players if Cavan expect to do well.

A little bit of ability to go with the commitment would be just grand!

David wright and Georaid could work well in midfield together. Good too see some new faces in

Also shows that it's more then recent U21 Squad's that are being looked at. Wright didn't play under age Co football or Smith. Tinnelly didn't either.

Reasons to be cheerful for 2015:

1. We have new management structures in place. Liam McHale comes highly rated and should offer us something new.
2. I personally felt that the last 2 of our u21 teams were the most talented. Next year we should see the cream of those teams pushing hard for a place in the senior team.
3. We are All Ireland junior champions. It HAS to count for something, if nothing else but a confidence boost.
4. While you're never guaranteed to be injury free, this year we missed Mackey and a few others big time. Hopefully we'll get a bit of luck next year with regards injuries, lads missing etc.

Reasons I'd be worried.

1. I saw nothing in the management setup to suggest they have any sort of plan B last year.
2. Armagh are a division 3 team and they made our game into a men vs boys contest. Next year we'll be playing a division higher than them.
3. That unforgivable style of play will take a while to be got rid of.
4. Are our u21 teams delivering the goods at senior level? So far the jury is still out. Promoted, but stuffed twice in the championship.

Overall I think it is very hard to now how we will fare next year. The McKenna cup and league proved a false dawn last year.

The false dawn after League was probaly a follow up of the U21 Semi final defeat in controverial circumstances and the League final defeat to Roscommon, a game that was kicked away, As well as losing players through injury and some through the US.

Armagh was always going to be a tough game, more so with McGeeey sorting out there defensive from 2013, also a much changed team from 2013. Only 6 players played against Cavan in Breffni, they were unlucky to be relagated in the League still getting use to the sytstem, but putting up some impressive scores at the same time. Flanagan , Mackey, Clarke big lossed in that game.

The Roscommon game was very disappointing but then again, only 5 of that team started against Kerry the previous year in All Irelnad Quarter final, so that is a big turn over of players in Championship football.

McHale will bring a different style to Donnelly

Do people think will Seanie Johnson will make it in to the squad of 2015? I think it is time for all involved to move on and work together for the best of Cavan football. Surely the players have moved on, I'm just wondering will Hyland and the management team have moved on? What do people think?

can't see Seani J being brought into the panel, too many people have their knickers in a twist over the whole thing. If he is not part of the panel this time round then its time it stopped being mentioned at all, as it clearly aint going to happen.

Well he scored 1-20 in his last 3 championship games this year and there ain't no other forward in the county has done that nor are they capable of doing that. So yes it's time to bring him back.

Personally I would leave that decision (S.J.) up to Terry and his selectors. They know what they want and they will know if they need strengthening in certain areas. Some of the u21's and Juniors certainly deserve promotion but then again they may leave them till after the u21 championship. I think there is loads of talent in the county and I dont go with this line that we havent discovered any top class scoring forwards in the last 4 or 5 yrs. Our problem over the last year or two was that we were picking defenders in forward positions like Feargal Flanagan and Killian Brady. Martin Reilly spent most of his time back protecting the full-back line.
When we go to a more offensive style which Liam McHale will encourage, then we will see the best of our young forwards. Remember the Junior team showed us what can be achieved. A fit Cian Mackey and the return of lads like Killian Clarke and Ronan Flanagan will also help the cause.

Personally I would like to see Seanie back on the squad. He is one one the tops players in the county and this was shown in the later stages of the champo and in the final where he got man of the match. If we have Eugene keating martin Dunne and seanie full foward we will do very good as we have everthing we need

Seanie is not in the squad at the minute and doubt he will at any stage either so can we put this to bed once and for all.

Well if Seanie is not in the squad or has not been asked into the squad I would question who the management have been looking at during the Senior championship. No matter what way you dress it up he is the best forward in the county.

I think it is a very big mistake if Seanie is not brought back into the panel. Several players have fallen in and out with management over the years, for example the Bradleys, but come the big decisions, the best players should always be picked. I understand Seanie and Val ell out, and that leaving for Kildare was a massive mistake. That is history! Its over! The player has given a lot to Cavan football, and after being top scorer this year, deserves a return. It would be a massive mistake to not include him. I watched several of Cavan's games in the last years, and the standard of forwards has gone backwards. They are simply afraid to take on a man. It has coached out of them clearly. The game Cavan has played is to hold onto position, and attack with little pace. The forwards have no pace, belief in themselves and going on the Armagh, Westmeath and especially Roscommon game are not enjoying the game. To see great players like Jack Brady, Gearoid McKiernan etc. turn back each and every time to pass backwards is not the game they played a few years back. They need new belief. Seanie is a confidence player. The forwards should be build around him. Keating has loads of potential, but needs strong players beside him. I think Terry and Co. could regret not forgetting the past on the Seanie issue. I for one was raging at Seanie, but have moved on. And last but not least I would be only delighted to see his talent, which would improve the Cavan style of play, rather than the muck we have watched last year.

There is no need for him now maybe a few years ago if he was willing to accept he is a player and not management maybe use him as an impact sub or something. I am of the opinion however his inter county day's are over.

A different situation entirely.
