Emerging team

(Oldest Posts First)

Just watched the post match interview with Terry.
Felt for him as he was very cut up.
Basically we've had disappointment after disappointment for the last 5 years.
We've competed in 5 ulster U21 finals, won 4 of them.
Out of all that still no All Ireland to show for all the hard work.
What worries me is not the lack of effort is more lack of quality.
You take Mackey, Dunne, Clarke and McVeety out and there is very little in reserve.
I was very impressed with Roscommon and their ability all over the pitch to take scores from very difficult angles and under pressure from our defence.
I'm sorry to say we don't have that.
We need to produce prolific scoring players 1 to 15.
Another few beatings like last weekend and I can see a man who's recently taken over one of our top clubs taking over at the helm.
I think he can see a bright future but it needs to be tapped properly. He's already put his foot in the door.
Forgettable summer, but as we say in Cavan and have been since 1997, " there's always next year"!!!!!
Cheers to that.

So you want to replace a manager who got us to the last 8 last year and got us promoted with a man who couldn't get Fermanagh promoted and struggled to win a championship game with them?

Folks, reading all the reaction after the game it appears to me that its a done deal that the manager will serve a fourth year in charge. If progress is not continued to be made next year then I think that he would be happy enough to walk away at that stage.

As regards a long term replacement, Peter the Great to take over at Tyrone in 2016 and Micky Harte to throw in his lot with Cavan!
