Tomsmith here
I just wonder where have all the Old posters gone or have they re-invented themselves using different names. Them old poster who give us a valuable insight into the day to day running of all matters concerning the senior team has failed to subscribe and keep us informed. I read in a National paper where our senior team manager says he intends to remain on for another year, if former times we would be fed this information directly from ( as the press would say ) our man in Breffni Park.

Ok Ned here's my opinion
a few years ago we had Val Andrews who took on a team in Div 3 he went with a youth policy and was hounded out of his Job. Terry Hyland had reached an Ulster U21 final, lost, then learned from that and won the next year. We as a county have had success at underage and junior level that we have never enjoyed before. Our Seniors have finally got promotion, we reached the Quarter final last year. As well as qualifying for a mckenna cup final, we have had success at Junior level as well.
SO we have progressed we have proved we have the players, we need to be a bit more patient, I'm a bit dismayed that the "Sack the manager Brigade" are back. I'm also dismayed at the vitriol meeted out to our players many of whom delivered Ulster U21 titles to us. They conformed to a system and got us promotion and to last year's Q/final and people thought it was Ok to howl abuse at these amateur players from the terraces? I believe we need to improve and get better in the Final third, we have to tweak the system but we have more to be positive about now much much more!

1636335 Come back SEANORINN all is forgiven !!!
It was mentioned to me last night my name was mentioned here so I had a look. I logged on to reply and will be logging out once I have made this post. For personal reasons I decided I was an easy target as I was the only person registered under my own name and an easy target for a few and as pointed out by many not a Cavan person. My health is not good so I don't need the stress of this forum attacking me all the time so by not logging on or taking and interest in Cavan or county football there is no point in me reading anything that goes on. I will not be back for the foreseeable future but you can chat with me anytime face to face in Breffni Park along with being the groundsman I am also a club Breifni Member. Slain Is mise Sean O'Rinn

Sean, I just want to wish you the best of health. We may have disagreed the odd time but you were always a true GAA man. Get well soon and take care of that sacred sod in Breffni. Better days ahead !!

Definitely agree that players getting abuse is totally out of order. Unacceptable, fans have to consider that these players are told to play a certain way, if they show any creativity or take risks their place is under threat, so not for a minute is it any players fault that we ended up the way we did in 2014.
Finally, don't be a stranger man.

Man up everyone. This board is about opinions and nobody has the right to think their's is the correct one. Good to see the old posters back and get well soon Sean. We all disagree from time to time. Don't take posts to heart.

Slasher while I agree with you that one has to have discussion and opinions expressed and dissected I feel (as one that posts good intelligent contributions) that sometimes we old posters do not be fully appreciated and as such burnout can occur. Back to SOR I wish you well and I do hope to see you on the board very soon Cavan,s Hoganstand page can do with your inside lines
