Cavan to win Ulster?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Yeah tonights the last chance to see the team in action. Be interesting to see Declan McKiernan, Killian Clarke, Cian Mackey and Niall McDermott playing together against Cavan! Recon All Stars will make a good game of it!

Down will not be playing football in September. And I'd be very surprised if Tyrone are either. Cork, Dublin, Mayo, Derry all ahead of them.

Don't understand why you would rate Derry ahead of Cavan never mind anyone else. Donegal, Tyrone and Monaghan are the best teams in Ulster with Cavan hot on their heels and if they improve on last year they are just s good. The jury is out on Cork too

After yesterday I still fancy either Tyrone or Monaghan to win Ulster. The injuries will be crucial for Monaghan - McManus would be a huge loss if he doesn't make it and Tyrone could shade that game. I can't see either Cavan of Armagh making the final at the moment.

Clarke playing in that game means very little, he was named on the Club All Star teams so obviousy going to play. Won't be part of the Cavan panel for the championship, leaving this week

I believe Cavan defender Killian Clarke will be heading to the US for the Summer.

He will be a big loss to Cavan this Summer.

I hear Ronan Flanagan will also be missing from the Cavan squad.

2 excellent Cavan defenders.

Flanagan and Clarke gone. Big Gearoid injured.

Really not ideal preparation. Every team will have to contend with injuries, but for our best player to potentially miss this fixture two years in a row is just pure bad luck. You need luck to win championships, and we're not getting any right now.

Yes Ronan Flanagan is also going travelling for the summer, cant really blame him he has been committed every year since he came out of minor. Well Gearoid came on in the all star game so I think this is untrue. Rory Dunne was also at the game wearing a boot on his foot and on crutches. Anyone know what happened him, he is obviously out of the Armagh game now

well if Rory was injured then the obvious replacement is Killian Clarke. What we going to do now.

I will be surprised if Donegal and Tyrone are not the Ulster finalists this year.I dont see Monaghan as having the legs in key areas to stay with Tyrone for the full 70,also no Conor McManus and i can't see us turning over Tyrone this year due to lack of scoring forwards and lack of pace in half back line,if we get over Armagh and compete with Tyrone plus a decent run in qualifiers, i for one will be happy enough.

I spoke with Rory last night and he is optimistic about his chance of playing so not all doom and gloom. Gearoid played a full session last night as did Cian all looks good.
