Cavan v Dubs

Trying to be objective here I would not be happy if I was a Cavan supporter referee made a number of dodgy calls.
1 He gave mchugh a yellow and nor a black card. Yet he sent of a Cavan player for the same offence. McHugh later scored a crucial point.
2 He played advantage Ivory hit it wide and called it back so Costello could score the free.
3 The referee played 2 mins time on the nose. He did nor even allow Cavan one last attack. This was despite a Dublin player been on the ground at around the 1 min extra time mark and there was a stop in play. He got up at around the 1.40 extra time mark.

All in all I would say Dublin got out of jail. I can understand the players and managers frustration,
In saying all that Dublin did not pick the ref. If Cavan had been more attacking when they were on top they would have won.

Hard luck yesterday lads was gutted for you's, I think young Moynagh is going to be a one of the main players on your senior team for years to come, has been brilliant the few times I've seen him.
He was head and shoulders above everyone on the field untill he went of injured, for me putting him back on for the last 10 when the game was in the melting pot cost Cavan the game, his mobility was clearly restricted and at times it looked like he was only doing more damage by attempting to play on. Dillon's black card was very harsh as was Dublins winning free but overall I taught Dublin were slightly the better team especially in the second half. Overall it was a fantastic achievement to win 4 Ulster's in a row and you should be proud of your team.

Your dead right Dublin didn't pick the ref ,we have to draw a line under it now it was never Dublin's fault they just went out and played football.

It was always going to be a big ask. Dublin had more quality footballers than us and better strength In depth. We lost a few key players to injury during the campaign and on the evidence of the game, a few of our players carried injuries into it. There's no shame in being beaten by a better team. It wasn't the last few annoying mins that lost it for us. We kicked away too much hard won possession in the second half and robbed our front line of service. This is the same problem we have at senior level and is a function of our stage of development. We are a work in progress and we should take heart in the fact that we proved that we are not far off the pace at national level. We will learn from it and come back stronger, because under our current management teams, that's what we do.

Cavan did extremely well against a much vaunted Dublin outfit and yesterdays game proves we must continue with our system of play for all Cavan teams starting at minor. What we must hope for is that Cavan at all levels find more scoring marquee forwards.Cavan could of course have won yesterday but honestly Dublin were a better team and yes the referee made a real balls of it,if we do find a couple of forwards including at senior level we will be a real force to be reckoned with now that we have a full back, overall a good midfield,Eug Keating plus Ml Argue and Killian Clarke to add in along with, in time Moynagh,Gerry Smith,Buchanan and Ciaran Brady . Also including Madden we will I think have 12 of last nights actual team underage next year so if hunger and appettite is there then a 5 in a row at u21 is a possibility.

Cavan are beaten, we're all sick about the result and the nature of the result, we really could've won. Now let's just get it out of our system and move on, hopefully with a win in Croker next Saturday for the seniors. Who do people think can make the step up from u21 to the Cavan seniors? Dillon? Faulkner and Hayes v young but surely have an exciting future in blue ahead of them. I think the goalkeeper could be Cavan's first choice in the future.
