We need more Gaels players on this County team

(Oldest Posts First)

Tomsmith here

First of all let me make it clear that I am a Cavan Gaels supporter and has been all my life.
I feel that County Cavan senior football team needs is a few more Cavan Gaels footballers to stiffen up the spine of this Cavan team
I saw this game on Saturday ( got a parking ticket on my return) and indeed Cusack Park has seen better games but we were luck and sure who ever won anything without a bit of luck
So I say draft in a few of that great Gaels team and it may stop the leaks.
Anyone of them SOR who you would suggest

KUPA seems you have a personal issue with me so I expect a local Cavan lad so why not come over and chat to me face to face and I am sure I can sort your problem.

Tom I know you're a WUM but I'll bite. As a Gaels man surely you know there are plenty in the panel and they got an extended break because of their path to the Ulster final.

The gaels lads got extra time off after a long club campaign its that simple. The 2 Murrays will be on the panel for the weekend! Seanorinn doesn't know whats going on at breffni and even when he was around the place didn't know either

I knew what was going on fella but because I did not reveal on here any supporting information you make a statement.
It's not my place to tell you or anyone on here whats going on thats between management and players and I expect it's the same in every county. If you require information or anything else contact the CCB or maybe your club mates. I know whats training I know what's not training but thats my business and I will never reveal this to anyone but as I say ask your club mates I am sure they will fill you in but having said that being an alias you might uncover your cover.

Sean o rinn

Tomsmith here from Cavan Gaels Club

Sean fairly strong words from the Ham in relation to your lack of knowledge,
I do know that you may have a lack of judgement in relation to not supporting Cavan Gaels but to me you were always fair and you said it as it was .
You appear a great person to summarise an event or game very well but again I have to have reservations about your choice of Club to support as the Gaels are Cavan best club in the past 20 years

Sean ta bron orm ni raibh donaight maith again in Ballyboefey seahain o
Sean we did not have a good day in Ballyboefey a week ago and that was a surprize given that Mattie had done a lot of work with the panel.
But given that he has excluded some good Cavan gael;s players and that he did not embark on Divisional teams in the closed season I feel he has missed a great opportunity to progress Cavan football.
How do we go forward an d and not suffer the ignominy of being relegated in 2019.
I say we have to lot a way forward and get our best player on the County squad.
What suggestions have you or do all want to sit back and when we have very few victories in Division 1 in 2019 Hoganstand will be alive with suggestions.
Come up with them now or remain ever silent
I say Divisional teams are a must

Tom , I think he needs to sit down with a lot of players that won't commit and see what the problem is and why? And try and entice them back again, something needs to be done.

Blueman 1930.

Sorry I could not reply to you as I was away in keltic Park Derry on another sad day for Gaelic football in Cavan.
But Blueman 1930 you will understand what when I say we were poor in Derry today.
I like your suggestion of sitting down with the players
