Divisional teams a must

Having watched our demolition by Tipp and with rancour elsewhere on this site about players and indeed the contribution by my old pal Sean o Rinn see below [b]This man came to Cavan last November he saw no championship football therefore would not have seen any players outside the loop so from now on he will have plenty time to asses what potential is out there and next year we can then judge the man it's totally unfair to judge him at this moment in time. Now I don't know the man so don't start saying what else would I say. Lets give him a fair crack of the whip then and only then start judging him. I have seen managers come and go several just did not have a clue or how to make changes but they just did not have it. I am willing to give him his chance.seanorinn (Cavan) - Posts:3471 - 08/07/2017 23:18:16
I am of the opinion that Cavan GAA followers should insist that Divisional teams be set up.
It is a terrible thing that our manager did not see any championship football, so who was he relying on?
If we had Divisional football where every man would have to fight for a place it would give our manager and his team a great viewing point for selecting his team.
I say grasp the nettle get Divisional teams set up play games, championship style and showcase our talent to the manager

Yes I agree with you 100% even if it meant designating one evening a week to play these games, Or even bring in as many players as possible including the present county players and tell them you are playing to earn the right to wear the Cavan jersey it's not yours. Then maybe lads may well be willing to commit. BUT they have to be given more than one chance play several games they will show you what they have other will walk anyway because they will not be able to hack it.
Sweeney played last weekend for his club he scored 13 points so is it time that Cavan played the county players throughout the year and stop this nonsense no games to be played while the seniors and Minors are still involved in Ulster and championship. It would also give one a chance to unearth a few special ones as well.
Players suffering with hamstring injuries is this down to bad strength and conditioning???
