Senior Championship
Ballinagh will play their final group stage fixture on Saturday at 7pm in Killeshandra after being drawn against Mullahoran. We now face a must win situation to be in with any chance of reaching a quarter final spot. At the end of the four rounds of fixtures a league table will be drawn up with the 14 competing teams in the senior championship. The top 8 teams will qualify for the quarter final with the team finishing 1st playing the team finishing 8th, the team finishing 2nd playing the team finishing 7th etc. The bottom six teams will go into a relegation playoff with three teams to be relegated. There will be three single games with the loser of each relegated to Intermediate for 2018 bringing the number of senior championship teams down to 12 for 2018.

Camogie

Best of luck to Ballinagh Camogie who will compete in the Junior Championship Final on Sunday vs Kill in Breffni Park. The ladies have trained relentlessly from January to reach this point and will leave no stone unturned in their quest to win the championship. The game throws in at 2pm and we hope to see as many Ballinagh natives there as possible to cheer on the girls. The Camogie committee would like to thank all their players, management, mentors, supporters and sponsors for the help this year, namely Paddy Smith Pork and Bacon, James Dourneen, Barney Macs and Brian Gumley

Cavan:
Well done to Cormac Timoney who was part of the fantastic Cavan Minor side that bowed out of the All-Ireland at the semi-final stage against Kerry on Sunday. Cormac has been excellent for the Cavan minors all year and represented Ballinagh with distinction. Cormac was one of a number of Ballinagh men to represent Cavan at underage football this year along with Thomas Smith, Kyle Tyler and Evan Finnegan, and it's clear to see that Ballinagh are sure to have senior representatives along with Niall McDermott in the years to come.
