Blotto
The Blotto Draw took place on Monday 24th July. The winning numbers were 1,5,7,13. There was no jackpot winner. The weekly winners of €25 were Kathleen Conaty Carn, Michelle McMahon Blackbull, Ita Tierney Ranrenagh, Seamus Donohoe Glencurran, Barry Smith Tullytrain. The next draw will be on Monday 31st July in The Carraig Springs. Jackpot is now €4,000.
Hotel Kilmore Intermediate Championship
Good luck to the Denn senior team who will open their Hotel Kilmore Intermediate Championship campaign against Bailieborough on Sunday 30th July in Virginia at 2pm. Please come and support the team.
ACFL Division 2
Denn hosted Ballymachugh in Round 12 of the Brady's Arva Volkswagen ACFL Division 2 on Saturday evening last in St Matthews Park, Crosskeys and emerged the victors on a 1-14 to 0-12 scoreline.
Underage Competitions
Under 16
Denn and Lavey have amalgamated for the Under 16 Championship under the name Sliabh Glah. The team are competing in both Division 1 & Division 4. The first game for the Division 1 team against Cavan Gaels ended in a victory for Sliabh Glah on a 4-8 to 1-14 scoreline. Round 2 is against Drumloman Gaels on Wednesday 2nd August in Sheelin Park, Ballymachugh at 7.15pm. Round 3 is against Lough Oughter Gaels on Thursday 17th August at 7.15pm in Lavey GAA. The first game for the Division 4 team was on Monday last against Ballinagh where the team suffered a defeat. Round 2 is against Kildallon on Thursday 27th July at 7.15pm and Round 3 is against Naomh Brid on Thursday 3rd August in Lavey GAA at 7.15pm.
Under 12
The Under 12 Summer League has began. Denn are playing in the Grey Group with Cootehill, Castlerahan, Cornafean, Drumlane & Cavan Gaels. The first game, Round 2 was against Castlerahan on Tuesday 11th July last in St Matthews Park, Crosskeys in which the home team emerged winners. Round 3 was against Drumlane on Tuesday 18th July where the team emerged victors, Round 1 against Cootehill on Friday last ended in a draw. The team were defeated in Round 4 against Cavan Gaels on Tuesday last in St Matthews Park, Crosskeys and Round 5 is against Cornafean on Tuesday 1st August in Cornafean at 7pm.
Monthly Meeting
The monthly meeting of Denn GFC will take place on Friday 28th July at 9pm in the clubrooms. All members are asked to attend.
Denn Camogie
Primary School Training continues on Mondays from 6-7pm.
U-16 County Training on Tuesday nights. Check out the official camogie Facebook page for updates on this.
Denn Running Club
The Running Club has taken a break for the month of August and will resume again in September.
