Cavan will meet Galway in Carrick-on-Shannon for next Saturday week's All-Ireland minor football championship quarter-final, the GAA has revealed today.

John Brady's side lost out to Derry in the Ulster final eight days ago and will look to topple the Connacht champions in a bid to reach the last four stage for the first time since 1974.

The Tribesmen will be favourites after seeing off Sligo two weeks ago on a 3-11 to 0-10 score-line for their provincial title in-a-row.

Throw-in at Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada on August 5th is at 2pm.
